Nov. 13th -15th
New England Crime Bake Mystery Conference. Jan will be teaching a class on revising and re-inventing your work, Friday at 4 p.m, and discussing how to create suspense, Saturday at the 2 p.m. panel is “F is for Fear.” She’ll also be helping to run a mystery theatre at the banquet Saturday and will be appearing at the author’s breakfast Sunday. Oct. 29th 7 p.m.
Jan will be moderating a discussion on mystery writing at the Dedham Public Library, 43 Church St. Dedham, featuring authors Kate Flora, Sheila Connolly and Ruth McCarty. Ruth also edits and publishes Deadfall, the collection of New England mystery short stories.

Oct. 24th, 2 p.m
Jan will be talking about her latest novel, Teaser, at the Falmouth Library’s Death and Dessert program, with authors Mark Arsenault and Thomas Cook. Lots of chocolate and mystery writing. 300 Main Street, Falmouth MA.

Jan will be on a mystery panel with authors Hallie Ephron, Rosemary Harris, Roberta Isleib and Jane Cleland at the Connecticut Library Association conference at the Omni New Haven Hotel, New Haven, Conn.

Jan will be speaking and signing books at the Providence Borders, 142 Providence Place (the mall), Providence, RI Emily Homonoff, who provided her expertise on teenage social networking, will be with Jan discussing ways to stay safe on the Internet.

Jan and fellow mystery author and blog-mate Hallie Ephron will be talking about their new books, Teaser, and Never Tell a Lie, at Redbones, 55 Chester St., Somerville, Ma. 02144. It’s part of Kate’s Mystery bookstores Murder Under Bones program.

Jan will be signing copies of Teaser at the Barnes and Noble, 90 Providence Highway (the Walpole Mall), Walpole, Ma.

Jan officially launches Teaser, the third in the Hallie Ahern series, at a party at her house!

Jan will be celebrating the early part of Kate’s Mystery Books annual holiday party with a host of New England authors, including Kate Flora, Robert Parker, and Gary Goshgarian, Kate’s Mystery Bookstore, 2211 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, Ma.

Jan will be attending the mystery conference, Boucheron in Baltimore, MD. where she will be speaking on a panel with her blogmates, Hallie Ephron, Hank Phillippi Ryan, Roberta Isleib and Rosemary Harris.
